for fans of the Fiji Rugby Union. Fiji and Japan have always shared rugby in common and I am delighted to see that many Fiji rugby players continue to travel to Japan to play rugby and to continue the process of building friendship and understanding between our two countries. As you read these pages you will see the very deep passion that rugby generates in Fiji. Strictly speaking it is only a sport but in many ways we consider it a way of life - almost a religion. From the very earliest ages to the most senior, rugby is a sport that is played and talked about whenever people meet, gather or visit. It is a common culture that binds the people of our 300 beautiful islands together.
