Welcome to all our rugby friends in Japan. I express sincere thanks Makato Omuro and his team for establishing this web site and congratulate him for the excellent job he has done. Fiji has established a special bond with Japan as a fellow rugby nation competing in the Pacific Rim Championship Series and in the IRB World Sevens Series. Many of our Fijian players have played with clubs in Japan and have developed lifetime friendships. The Vodafone Fiji teams have enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of the rugby fraternity in Japan and we always look forward to having teams from Japan visit our shores. Last year I had the opportunity to travel to Japan with the Fiji team for the Pacific Rim Championship series. It was a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable visit. I am looking forward to returning soon. I sincerely hope that the introduction of this Fiji Rugby web site may strengthen even further the bond between our rugby families.
